New Rope 17'/#
  1. Wool Rope for Log Home Laterals(Grooves):
    • Add 6' to the length and 6' to the width of the home to allow extra for notching.
    • Multiply 2 times the new length and 2 times the new width and add them together.
    • This is the lineal feet/round so multiply it by the number of rounds.
    • Now you have the total lineal feet and divide this by the feet/# given under the photo above for the type of rope you will use.
    • Now you have the pounds required if only one length of rope is needed

    • Total lineal feet per round of logs and multiply by the number of rounds adding one round to insulate top and bottom.
    • Divide total by 17 lineal feet per pound to get total pounds needed.
    • Multiply the lineal feet by $.75 to get an estimate of the cost. The actual cost may be higher as rope must be bought in three roll lots totaling 25 pounds per 3 rolls.
    • This gives you the total number of pounds of wool rope to order. Call Stan at 607-330-1198 to place your order.

    16", 24" Batts

  2. Wool Batts for Frame and Timber-Frame Homes:
    • Add separately the total wall, roof and floor square footage to be insulated.
    • Call Stan at 607-330-1198 and order by the number of bags needed for either width.
    • For R-13 multiply the number of sq feet by $1.89per sq ft, and for R-19 multiply by $2.69per sq ft.
